Rules - Battle of the Budtenders

All participants must be 21 years of age or older to enter. Valid ID will be required to collect prizes.
The competition is open to all 21 and over participants.
Employees of Battle of the Budtenders and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.
All contenders must purchase their tickets a week before the competition Deadline date August 31 2025.

Contenders register and purchase their ticket through the website. Once the payment is confirmed Contenders are emailed the link to the competition quiz page where a clock counts down to zero.
The deadline to enter is the week before the competititon. It is the Contender's responsibility they have access to wi-fi to compete in the competition.
There 5 rounds, 10 questions per round, 90 seconds each round. Contenders must finish in the top 50% to advance to the next round. The top two contenders in the fourth round advance to the final round.

Cannabis Knowledge: Questions about strains, terpenes, cannabinoids, consumption methods, and effects.
Regulatory Compliance: Questions about general cannabis laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Product Knowledge: Identification and information about various cannabis products available in dispensaries.
Customer Service: Scenarios testing ability to recommend appropriate products based on customer needs and preferences.
Dosing & Safety: Questions about appropriate dosing, potential side effects, and responsible consumption practices.

The Bud Master retains the Bud Master Belt up until 2-3 weeks before the next competition. During that time, the belt goes on the BOTB Belt Tour. The belt is return the day of the competition.
A condition in accepting the Bud Master Belt, the winner agrees to photo shoots, interviews and BOTB using their image in promotional and marketing ads.
The Bud Master agrees to promote the BOTB competition across all platforms. They will also like and share, reels, stories, and posts for the BOTB
The Bud Master refrains from slandering, discrediting, sabotaging or bringing accusations against the BOTB Competition, CannaGroup 180 LLC or it's members individually.

Each question has a point value associated with it. Easier questions have a low point value (1-5) while difficult questions have a higher point value (15-25) Bonus questions are worth (50-100).
The competition is designed so a contender who fell behind in the earlier rounds may come back by answering harder questions in the later rounds and win the competition.
The Contender who answers the question first receives the full value of the point. Contenders who answer the after receive a fraction of the point.
